What are mechanisms?   Images and Videos of some Mechanisms   I want to learn design of mechanisms   Links for further references

•Devices which create mechanical motion or forces in a desired manner from a given mechanical input for  various applications are termed as mechanisms.
•Mechanisms are designed and used in several day to day appliances we use.

•A mechanism can repetitively generate motion or forces as per the specification by moving a set of interconnected bodies that in combination.
•A car uses several types of mechanisms –
–Wind shield vipers to clean windows, piston-crank-driveshaft mechanism, in suspensions, in steering wheels etc.
•Rigid bodies are interconnected by a set of link pairs with motion or force constraints that facilitate generation of specific motions.
•Door Closers, Hand pumps, toys
