Project Title : Energy Access and Innovation Challenge
Abstract : Sustainable energy can be the catalyst for pushing many poor and underserved communities out of poverty trap by giving them better opportunities in livelihoods, education and access to cleaner cooking fuels- enabling savings as well as improved health outcomes.
The “Energy access and innovation challenge” will push students to become solution providers in the energy access space keeping development and poverty alleviation at the core. Students of IIT Kharagpur will form teams to conceive, design and innovate sustainable energy solutions keeping in mind social, economic and environmental factors.
These innovations are expected to be a combination of a technology product or a service+ a financial solution + a dissemination model.
