About Us
The Digital Electronic Circuits Virtual Laboratory is an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NME-ICT). Laboratory courses on hands-on experiments are integral parts of engineering education.
The Laboratory-on-demand enables students to measure the different characteristics or parameters of various signals and circuits at any time and from anywhere using a Flash and Java enabled web browser.
Objective
The virtual laboratory will enable the students to conduct various analysis based and
synthesis based experiments on digital electronic circuits and to develop a deeper understanding
of the design issues and implementation issues of the subject that include debugging of errors in
digital circuits.
The learning objective of this virtual laboratory is to supplement the theory course of Digital Electronics with
adequate exposure to both combinatorial and sequential logic circuits, such as, adder/subtractor,
comparator, parity generator/checker, multiplexer/demultiplexer, arithmetic logic unit, 7-segment
display and decoder/driver, flip-flop, register, counter, memory, etc. and various
combinations of these. The courseware would also groom the students to perform several
interesting programmable logic device based experiments.
Every experiment includes several features: pre-lab reading, pre-lab quiz, instructions,
models of the various parts of the experiments, record keeping, data analysis, evaluation and feedback.
