The Quality Control is performedby inspection of parts in the CIM systembased on machine vision. The machine vision system that is used is the ViewFlex application software of Intellitek.
It comprises of a USB colour camera and it uses the Matrox Inspector image processing systemwith various image analysis tools such as image preprocessing and enhancement, colour image analysis, pattern matching, blob analysis, etc. A robot is used to load the part into the Quality Control station so as to place it below the camera, and after inspection, the part is unloaded from the station by the robot.
Viewflex Application Software
To run the ViewFlex application software, from the Start menu,
- Select Programs ->ViewFlex
- Click on the ViewFlex icon.
